This Treasure Hunt will involve a series of instructions, sometimes a little cryptic, which will bring participants around a short route. There will be questions to answer along the way. These could be of a type: add up all the miles on the signpost. Sometimes they are less straightforward, for instance you might be asked what is the wine region around here if there is a GRAVES-built corrugated iron shed in the vicinity. You might also be asked to answer some General Knowledge questions to fill any moments when you might be bored!

The more people you have in the car the better your chances will be.

If anybody wants it from the horse's mouth I suggest they ring Frank Fennell, 0862566880

Please let us know in advance if you intend on taking part in this event.

Frank and Kay have been busy and everything is in place.
Reward their hard work by turning up in droves.
Friends, enemies, relations (in good standing and otherwise) all welcome.

So while most of Dublin was looking to the skies on Sunday some of us were reading planning notices, climbing road signs to read the makers name and exploring graveyards ! And what fun it was, much better than getting a crick in your neck watching all that jet fuel being burnt !
Then there was the route instructions, good job I paid some attention to 'The Teach' at various navigation lessons- He warned me about speed changes but unit changes..that was a new one on me, and Sean Reynard ( I thought He was a racing car constructor...)
And then there was farmers who could'nt identify turnip pickers...like really ! And german saloons made from concrete blocs (no its not a spilling mestake Ian) and all the time a kindly looking gentleman sounding a vintage car horn in your ear.......
Not to mention the answer session- the compliments were flowing freely 'Some of You aren't as thick as you look' being a favorite !

So thanks Frank and Stephen for a great afternoons fun ! There was some amount of work put into setting it all up not to mention dreaming it all up ! I hope you're planning the next one already.
Its okay kids mum and dad have stopped shouting at each other now..really !
