Hi,

Looking to purchase new rubber for the Starlet. It's our first time buying new rubber as we're only a few events in.

What's the recommendation? We'll be doing endurance trials and a few MVAT's.

We have 8 steel wheels,
4 x 14" and the 4 13" Starlet originals.
we've been running the 14's on the front and 13's on the rear.

Hi, Uniroyal Rainexperts are a good option for MVAT's, but maybe too easy to puncture for Endurance Trials.

What makes the Uniroyal Rainexperts a good choice? I'm genuinely curious so I know why I'm buying them.

Hi, They are not the ultimate tyre in any situation, but are a great overall tyre that are particularly good in wet and loose conditions.

You now have to run a wheel barrow type control tyre in the Endurance class but you can run proper tyres in the other classes.

you should check with the COC regarding tyre choice for each endurance event, it can be a bit of a minefield. for MVATS, most E-marked road type tyres are acceptable. no knobblies or slicks.

for endurance events, i would tend to steer more towards a durable tyre that doesnt puncture easily than outright performance.

yoko A539 are a good tyre on the front of a starlet for tarmac, but dont really like wet grass or mud.
