To all competitors - please note that while we must introduce the tyre list 1a, there will be a 'soft' approach to this on this occasion, especially concerning tyres that are clearly low budget non-competition tyres.

Any questions please let me know.

The original bulletin on tyre regulations stated that tyres on List 1B and 1C could not be used. As I understood it, tyres on List 1A and any budget tyres that aren't on any list were eligible.

Now the event regulations are stating that only tyres on List 1A are eligible. Which is the case?

While there will be a "soft" approach, to me it seems more sensible to just not allow tyres on List 1B and 1C.

Paul,

The purpose is to keep down costs here.

Allowing 'everything but' has lead to seemingly never-ending unintended options.

The prescriptive approach means everyone knows what's in and everyone can work within that, without finding themselves at a disadvantage by the arrival of the 'next great thing' not on any list.

Team Mark2 maintained (apparently effortlessly; becoming a seriously well oiled operation ! ) the high standard TDC wishes for its events ! That was, as the saying goes, " sweet as........"

Well done Mark, Mathew, Linda & Helen !

Big thanks to our hosts, the Evans family, Marshalls, officials and those who contributed to the organisation of the event.

Noteworthy was the newbie girl marshals on test 2; seemed to get into the swing of things quickly with incipient itchy accelerator foot becoming evident ! Thank you, ladies !

Also thanks to the competitors for the support of the event. It all starts their ! Fun seemed to be being had, from my view point !

And finally an appreciation to Mammy Walsh for the officials lunch bags ! Hit the spot !
