Round 2 - National Autotest Championship - Sunday 10th March |
|
*See replies below for details of round 2*
National level autotesting is back for 2024, but with more than a few changes!
There will be 6 rounds, with 5 to count and there will be 2 types of test suited to all types of cars, entries are open and Round 1 is this Sunday in Roscommon Town!
See all details about round 1 here: MI National Autotest Championship Round 1 Details
All details about the Championship and upcoming events can be found here: MI National Autotest Championship
Most rounds are easily accessible from Dublin: The TDC, Kildare MC and Laois RSC events are less than an hour from the M50 with the Birr MC, and Midland MC rounds not much further out.
The most significant change is the introduction of the new "Challenge" competition, and the national title for the overall winner that goes with it! The National Autotest Challenge will see competitors taking on tests specifically designed with road cars in mind. If you own a lightweight and prefer a fast test... don't worry, we have classes to accommodate you too. Nobody is forced to do the "Championship" layouts!
The "Championship" section will see the return of tests specifically designed with lightweight cars in mind, and will mirror the NI and MSUK championships. Tests will be designed to challenge experts and prepare people for team competitions like the Ken Wharton and Ronnie Trouton International Autotest events!
Of course novices haven't been forgotten about! The "Europa Cup" is returning and will be a sub-section of the Challenge and open to novices only!
We have a few TDC members already entered and would be delighted to welcome more on the startline on Sunday!
