Excellent event, looking forward to it all the more given that there will be no 'code board hell'.

CIP QUBMC Summer Lanes Rally 2014
Final instructions 1
Thank you for entering our event. We want you to have an enjoyable and safe event in this exciting new venue, to this end please read and understand the following:
UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES WILL ANY TOW VEHICLES, TRAILERS OR TRANSPORTERS BE ALLOWED INTO THE MAIN ESTATE GROUNDS.
With 70 competing, and various official cars there is simply not enough room.
We have made provision for trailer/transporter parking in the old quarry at Aghafad Wood.
Approximate Map ref:37058140.
From the B84 Baronscourt Road, just opposite the Baronscourt estate entry take the Cashty Road. The Quarry is 0.50 mile up the hill on the left, follow the arrows.
Please unload and bring your competing car down to sign-on and scrutineering at The Carriage House.
DO NOT PARK ON THE GRASS OR BLOCK ANY ENTRANCES!
As the estate is a working entity, we must keep any disruption to a minimum. There are also a number of inhabited properties on the estate, please respect everyone’s privacy and do not interfere with attempts to carry on with normal everyday life.
Common sense will be a benefit!
The lanes have not been used for motorsport for about 30 years when they were part of the Bushwhacker rally. It is very important to look after this venue if we are to ensure it is not another 30 years before we are allowed to return!
For your safety we have appointed BMRU rescue and a St Johns crew is on standby. Please do your best not to make use of their services. We do not however have a recovery service. If you need this it is your responsibility to remove and make good. If you are blocking a test we reserve the right to push you further in so as not to block a test. In other words, DO NOT GO OFF!
The road timing is set under 30mph. There is NO need to speed at any time. A Driving Standards Official has been appointed who has the right to remove your timecard thus excluding you with immediate effect if he witnesses you driving without due care. As usual the PSNI have been informed of the route.

The Clerk of the course reserves the right to amend any tests, bogey or maximum times as deemed necessary during the event.
Tests: All the tests are on hard packed forest lanes. The surface is in the most part reasonably smooth but there will be some rougher sections. It is up to yourself how you treat this! All the tests have been driven by myself and Conor in various vehicles, in the main my everyday car without a sump guard and Conor’s MX5 with less than 1.1/2” ground clearance without any lasting damage.
Please take care to stay on the track. Off track there are numerous drainage ditches, large stones, soft boggy areas and of course trees.
There are NO code boards on the tests but it is incumbent on the club to ensure that you cannot exceed a 30mph average. Therefore there are cones, pylons, water-filled blocks, stop boxes and passage checks on most of the tests.
CONES & PYLONS: Hitting cones or pylons will incur a penalty as per the regulations
BLOCKS: Hitting a water filled block will incur a similar penalty but also damage your car!
STOP BOXES: In the past we have taken a somewhat lax attitude to stop boxes. This year you MUST STOP in the box before moving on, some will be manned with stop/go boards others not, but all will be observed: Penalty will be as per the regulations.
PASSAGE CONTROLS & CHECKS: You MUST STOP ASTRIDE the line at these controls and have your time-card marked. You will notice some will be at merge points, you may be held briefly if a release is deemed unsafe by the official. The law of Force-Majeure will be invoked if you feel you have been held up! Failure to stop astride or not obeying the official: Penalty as per the regulations.
At the finish a meal will be provided for all competitors, officials and marshals. You are also expected afford the award winners the honour of staying for the prize giving. This will be as soon as possible after the results are posted and signed.
