Taylors Three Rock (formerly Taylors Grange), Grange Road Rathfarnham,
53.26869, -6.26243

This exercise is designed to enlighten navigators taking part in the forthcoming Irish Classic Retro though any hot seat occupant should find it useful. Indeed, drivers could benefit as well.

Please let us know if you plan to come along by posting a response here. Alternatively, email Ian McCulloch at valianmcculloch@gmail.com

Keep the following Wednesday free in case a follow-up lesson is needed.

Hope Ian doesn't mind this, but from chatting to a few people recently regarding the navigation and regularity stuff the following links might help explain some of the terminology and give an insight to what's involved.

How to survive regularity sections by Andy Gibson: http://www.historicroadrally.co.uk/hrcr/historic/regularity.htm

"Finding your way" a Vintage Sports Car Club Guide: http://www.vscc.co.uk/vsccMedia/1946.pdf

Historic Road Rallying Novices Guide: http://www.hrcr.co.uk/images/uploaded/7337438_4989523.pdf

HRCR Navigation Handbook: http://www.hrcr.co.uk/images/uploaded/7337438_3921922.pdf

Edinburgh Uni "How to go Road Rallying" Guide: http://www.doublegmotorsport.com/rrguide/rrguide.html

Hope this explains some of the stuff, I'm sure Ian and his helpers will explain things in a more light hearted fashion. As I said to a couple of people today, don't be afraid to make a mistake, some of the best navigators out there, names withheld to protect their reputation, have been known to go on the odd shopping trip during a regularity with some event venturing to the cash & carry for bulk orders. The main thing is to enjoy it

The more info the better.
In deference to the shopping reference, every little helps.

Next week Wed 25th Feb, start time will be 7:30 pm.
There will be some revision before some fresh material is revealed.
Even if you missed last week a visit should prove useful.
