The second Club Autotest of the year on Sunday, 13th August, will not be as intimidating as the first one in Woodside in June. In order to make the event more attractive for newcomers to autotesting we will be trying something different to start the day off.

To help newcomers to learn the tests and to approach them effectively they will be paired with a more experienced driver with whom they can walk the tests.

Also, their first in-car lap will be timed but not used for results purposes. At the end of each test there will be an “expert” who will advise them as to how they might improve.

If they wish to avail of this opportunity they will be paired off at sign-on.

The first in-car lap will be not be used in the results for anybody. This will afford the more experienced competitors an opportunity to help them “tune” themselves and/or their car without compromising their chances of winning an award.

There will be three competitive laps after the “practice session”.
