Lol.. I'm working on it Owen.. May take a little while as I don't want to take the car off the road for a while.. Fitted the coilovers during the week with some help from Daniel on freeing the stubborn adjusters. Went out with cheap Toyo's and was really amazed how well it went. Did 150 Km on the international circuit which was a record for me and the car never missed a beat.. Lacks a bit of grunt but the handling is just stunning.. Great to have a car that can do many disciplines.

I finally got the chance to take mine for a proper blast last week and I can't believe how well they handle out of the box (even on knackered rear bushes).

I'm starting to think I may have to "test" it on one of the Multi- venues.

The diff in yours, is it a viscous one?

Are you running the 13" micra steels that you had on the starlet?

Didn't take long to shift the Starlet, will we still be seeing it out and about?

Hi Owen, My MX-5 has a torsen diff as do all the jap 1.8's. I'm running 14" wheels as the 13's won't fit over the brakes. They are the one's I had on the Starlet. Most likely the Starlet will be seen about, especially up north...

Yep, You'll have to take your MX-5 for a proper test!

My 1.8 will be a bit heavier with all the extra bracing and so on. I imagine it's about 1000 Kgs or so. Not as light as people think...

Convertables are always heavier than the hard top saloon models. All the added metal in the chassis to help with flexing. That's about as heavy as the escort believe it or not.
