Post Insurance On MultiVenue\Retro Cars? Reply with quote
Folks,

I'm doing some research and I'm looking for info on the best way to get a MultiVenue/Retro car covered properly by insurance.

Assume the car is more than 20yrs old but less than 25yrs old and has been stripped out.

Also assume I have a full insurance policy on another car.

Any info you can give me would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

J.

Hi J, For the Retro car you have get 'rally' insurance (IRDS).. Not expensive.. As for Multi-venue, 3rd Party should be fine unless its some very exotic car...

For the Rally you will need IRDS Insurance.. Usually included in the entry fee for events. You just have to make sure you register for it prior to a Rally..

For the Multi-Venues you should have a pretty standard road car and as such should be easily insured.. (temporary transfer)

How do I go about getting IRDS cover for the Retro and how much does it cost roughly?

Hi Damien, Here you go... You pay for it at the event and need to have registered for it with Motorsport Ireland prior to the event..

IRDS Insurance
