Co Cavan Motor Club Multi-Venue Autotest SUNDAY 6thSEPTEMBER 2020. REGULATIONS

This Multi-Venue Autotest to be held under the International Sporting Code of the FIA, the General Competition Rules of MI, Appendix 91 of the MI Yearbook, these Supplementary Regulations, current HSE / Government regulations & guidelines regarding Covid–19 and other Final Instructions that maybe issued. MI Permit No. 20/190OFFICIALS: Clerk of the Course: Damien BurnsEvent Secretary: Andrew Wedlock Deputy Clerkof the Course: Neil RogersResults Officer: Colm KearnsMI Steward:Brendan FlynnCMC Steward: Martin NichollCovid-19 Compliance OfficerGerard Hyland Social distancing is to be observed at all times.Masks must be worn at all times. Hand sanitizer will be available at the entrance and at locations throughout the event.For your safety temperature checks will be in operation at the entrance.This is a Gated event, no spectators allowed –no exceptions. (1 competitor + 1 allowed in)ENTRIES: Entries will be limited to a maximum of 40 competitors and due to Covid-19,all Motorsport Ireland events will be restricted to competitors who are resident on the island of Ireland, until further notice.All entries received by Monday 31 Aug will qualify for a draw for a free entry to the event.Each driver must complete an entry form. Entries must be sent to the Event Secretary by Thursday 29th August: Andrew Wedlock Drumhurt,Cootehill, Co Cavan H16AD71 Tel/WhatsApp: 086 2127066Email: wedlock2@live.comCovid-19 declaration forms and indemnities must be signed by competitor, in order to facilitate this, please note GCR 68 is being waived for the time being. These forms will be sent to the competitor upon receipt of their entry and must be completed and returned electronically to the Event Secretary, 3 days before the event.Entry Fee: €85 along with CPA Insurance Cheques payable to County Cavan Motor Clubor by Bank Transfer to AIB MAIN STREET CAVANBIC: AIBKIE2D ACC: 932051 IBAN: IE09AIBK93205112198141. Entrant name must be provided as reference when making payment and evidence of bank transfer must be supplied when submitting entry. Gates will open at 7.30AM.All competitors must be in the venue by 9.00AM when the gates will close.START: Hutt Cross Quarry, Latton, Co. Monaghan Timetable: Check In: 8.00am. Drivers Briefing: 09.20am. Tests Start: 09.30am.
The entire event will be held on private groundNo IRDS is required as event is solely held at Hut Cross. Format: The event will consist of driving tests.Navigators are NOT required. Passengers allowed-CPA €5 extra (€3 if passenger is aged 16 or 17) –MINIMUM AGE FOR PASSENGERS IS 16 YEARS Tests: Will be designed for Production, Navigation Trial & Retro type cars. 2WD cars only.Licence Requirements: All drivers must hold a valid 2020competition licence, which must be available for inspection at check in. ONE EVENT LICENCESOne event licences are available for this event at a cost of €25. Anyone wishing to enter this event using such a licence must send a competed entry form and payment to the event secretary with a notice stating they wish to compete on a one event licence. Anyone planning to compete on such a licence must, like all others, submit a competed Covid-19 Self Declaration Form to the event secretary, 3 days before the event.All carswill be inspected before the start. Penalties: Failure to start at correct time when notified by the Marshals (unless previously agreed with the COC) will result in a 5 second penalty per minute late being applied. The time taken for each test will be the penalty for that test, with additional penalties as follows: each initial contact with a pylon: 5 seconds, each line fault: 5 seconds, failure to come to a complete stop (box) 5 seconds, failure to attempt to stop (box) max penalty. The maximum loss (including failure) on any test will be the best correct performance overall plus 30 seconds. Note: THAT ALL LINES DURING A TEST MUST BE CROSSED BY A CAR’S LEADING WHEELS ONLY –i.e., STOP ASTRIDE ALL LINES. THERE IS 5 SECOND PENALTY FOR PUTTING THREE OR FOUR WHEELS (or only ONE) ACROSS A LINE. Classes:1 Front Wheel Drive Cars up to and including 1300cc. 2 Front Wheel Drive Cars over 1300cc. 3 Rear Wheel Drive Cars The onus is on the driver to ensure that he/she is entered into the correct class. Tieswill be decided by the better time on test 1, and so on. No more than 2 drivers will be allowed per car. Where 2 drivers are sharing a car, a separate entry form must be completed for each driver. Where 2 drivers are sharing a car, it must be sanitised when changing driver between runs.Cars: ONLY 2WD & NON-TURBOCHARGED CARS ARE ALLOWED.The tests will be designed to suit everyone. Tests will be of an open nature. Use of seatbelts is compulsory. Tyres: No competition tyres allowed on driven wheels. Random checks WILL be carried out. Anyone in any doubt as to what type of tyres may be used should contact the Clerk of the Course in advance to prevent any misunderstanding on the day. Awards: 1st Overall & 1st, 2nd & 3rd in each class. Best Ladies, CCMC member and Beginner Award. Additional awards may be presented at the discretion of the Club.
