 20th May 2012: Birr Autotest. NEW EVENT |

Birr & District Motor Club have been granted an additional Autotest for Sunday 20th May 2012. Check In from 10.30am with the Start at 11.30am.

Test Diagrams
One day licences will also be available.
The test site is near Borris in Ossory, Co Laois close to the M7 & M8 in an extensive Concrete Plant utilising a mixture of Loose/Sealed Surfaces. The Tests will be off a open type nature and will suit all cars with an emphasis on Fun and Enjoyment. Car Specification as per Multi Venue Autotests.
The Tests will not be complicated and will be beginner friendly. Bill Ryan is the Clerk of the Course (087) 9194949.

Plans are well advanced for the Birr Autotest on Sunday 20th May near Borris in Ossory, Co Laois.
There will be 4 Mixed Surface Tests (Loose & Concrete). Due to nature of the terrain only Road Legal cars are allowed, similar to the TDC Christmas Autotest. The tests are of an open nature and are not complicated (Beginner Friendly).
The Autotest will be taking place in a private venue which means cars dont require nct or tax.
Regs will be available soon and the entry fee is only €35 for beginners/novices and €50 for more experienced drivers.

1 Upto 1300cc FWD Cars
2 Over 1300cc FWD Cars
3 RWD Cars
4 Beginners under 21 Years Old
5 Beginners over 21 years old

Entries are coming in steadily for our Autotest on Sunday 20th May 2012.

We anticipate a large entry so to speed up sign on it would be appreciated that all entries be emailed or posted in.
The club will be providing light refreshments and beverages at the event prizegiving for all participants. Prizegiving will be held in the venue.

I hear Tiny AKA Eoin has re-introduced an old racing tradition ie a Le Mans style start on Sunday, should make for an interesting start for the over 40's!
